The bass unit is constructed from a PP (polypropylene) diaphragm material combined with a special damping coating, while the treble is produced by a 1-inch silk diaphragm tweeter, also with a special damping coating. This damping layer plays a significant role in suppressing unwanted resonances and each manufacturer has their own secret formula, much like the coatings used on headphone diaphragms to enhance sound quality.

The high frequencies of the speaker are refined and subtle, offering a lifelike sound quality. The reproduction of violins and vocals is impressively accurate, ensuring a seamless blend between the mid and high ranges. The highs possess a lasting, natural resonance with a rich depth.
